Courageous Sailing is on a mission to expand access to a sport that is stereotyped as the domain of rich kids and retirees. To fund this effort, it needs to raise hundreds of thousands from grants, corporations, and individuals for its free summer sailing programs.

Since 2021, Courageous has hired Outboard Films to create annual fundraising videos for their website and to screen at a gala each fall.

This year, we brought our cameras onto powerboats, travelled to the Harbor Islands for an overnight camping trip and filmed students as they crashed racing dinghies and screamed in excitement. In interviews, Courageous kids came alive talking about the new skills they’ve developed and how being on the water inspires them to dream big.
